ORDERING

Making a purchase on www.cecipaolo.com is easy. To make an order online just follow the simple steps below. If you prefer to place your order by telephone, or if you have any problems or queries please telephone us on +44 (0)1531 632976 Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.30pm or contact us anytime through our Contacts Page.

Finding a product

How the website behaves will depend on the device you are using to access it. The website is now mobile friendly so should adjust to your screen whether it be on a PC, tablet or mobile phone. You can find a product by using the drop down menus, by searching for its name, or by selecting a brand. The products are arranged up to 12 per web page. Click on a product for descriptions, further details, prices and size or colour variations. Please note that you can always get back to the Home Page by clicking on our logo at the top or the bottom of each page. 

Purchasing a product

To select a product to buy, enter the quantity you wish to order in the Quantity box. Then click the "Add to basket" button to add the item to your basket which will always appear on the top right hand side of the web page. If there are different options available, such as colour or size, select which option you require. If it appears on the Product Page that the item is now out of stock, it is often because it is being held for you in your basket.  When you add an item to your basket, you will be taken to your basket where you will see a picture, name and price of the items you are ordering.  You can return to the webpage you were on by selecting "Continue Shopping". 

Viewing Basket

Before proceeding to the Checkout, take a moment to review all of the items you've placed in your Shopping Basket. If you decide that you want to amend the quantities of a product, go back to the product by clicking on its name and add additional quantities. If you decide that you don't want to purchase a particular item, click on the "Delete" button and update the Basket to remove the item. 

Registration

While you can view products without registering with us, you must register if you want to purchase online.  This registration process (see below) will require you to provide your e-mail address with a password of your choice, real first name and surname, full address including postcode, and a telephone number.  We may, unless you advise us otherwise, pass the information concerning your name, address and phone number to our couriers in case they need to contact you to arrange the processing or delivery of your order.

Placing an Order

Once you have checked your basket and are satisfied with its contents, click on either the PayPal Check out or the Proceed to Checkout button.  As soon as you do this, you will either be redirected to login to your PayPal Account or the registration process will start.  If you have already registered with us, you will be asked to enter your email address and password.  If you are a new user, you will be asked to fill out the registration form which will enable you to buy online.  Alternatively, if you don’t want to create an account, you can choose to checkout as a "Guest" but you will still have to submit the same details for this transaction to proceed.  As a Guest you can choose to have your account details deleted from our system when your order is despatched.

You can choose to have your orders delivered to your home address or you can register a new delivery address by selecting "Add New Address" in the Address drop down box. Be sure to fill all entries marked as required. If you do not have a House Number, enter 0 in the checkbox. Please note that PO Box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not accepted.

Once you are logged in, you will then proceed to the page detailing your delivery or collection details and a detailed summary of your basket. Here you can specify a date for delivery or collection.  This is for our information and does not oblige us to deliver on that date although we will try to ensure delivery on any requested date but, in some cases, it may not be possible and we will advise you by email of this. Submit this and you will be taken to our secure payment screen.

By ordering via our online checkout process you are deemed to have placed an order with us.

Paying for an Order

If you are checking out through PayPal we will not require your card information.  However, if you are checking out through our secure server, Opayo/Sage Pay, you will be required to enter your card type, card number, cardholder's name, card expiry date, card issue number or start date, and the cv2 security code. Without this information we will not be able to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order. We also use an Address Verification System that checks your registration address with your credit card address.

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card does not, for any reason, authorise payment, we will not be liable for delays or non-deliveries.

We accept MasterCard, Visa Credit, Visa Debit and American Express.

Confirmation of an Order

When the system has processed your order you will receive a confirmation email to acknowledge your order placed with us.

We may refuse to accept an order:

• where goods are not available;

• where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;

• if there has been a pricing or product description error; or

• if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions.

While we try to ensure that all the products in our on-line store are available, we cannot guarantee that a product will be available at the time that you place your order. If a product is out of stock, we will contact you to arrange a replacement or to backorder the product, giving you the option to cancel the order if you would rather not wait.  Some products are also the subject of a special order.  This will be indicated on the product information.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your order:

(a) you can notify us by email to order@cecipaolo.com before we have dispatched the goods to you; or

(b) where goods have already been dispatched to you, by returning goods to us in accordance with the provisions detailed in our Returns Policy.

DELIVERIES 

Customers in the UK Mainland (excluding Highlands & Islands) and Northern Ireland

Orders over £100 are FREE of charge.  Our flat fee charge for deliveries to mainland UK delivery on orders under £100 is £9.00.  Most products on the site are available for delivery within three working days to mainland UK but expect longer lead times at busy periods like Christmas or when there is bad weather. Please note that we normally cannot ensure delivery on a Saturday or Bank Holiday. If an item is shown as not deliverable, you can still buy it online and collect it from the store or ring us to get a quote for delivery.

Customers in UK Highlands & Islands

Our flat fee charge for deliveries to the UK Highlands and Islands on all orders is £12.50. Most products are available for delivery between five to seven working days to the Highlands and Islands but expect longer lead times during busy periods or when there is bad weather. 

International Customers

We're thrilled to be able to offer our international delivery options.  Now a wide selection of our fashion, home and gift ranges are available to ship overseas.

International Deliveries

We are sorry that not everything we sell online is eligible for international delivery, mainly for logistical or legal reasons.  The following products are specifically excluded but we reserve the right to amend these as necessary:

  • Food
  • Beverages
  • Perishables
  • Electrical items (including those with batteries)
  • Furniture
  • Mirrors
  • Glassware, ceramics and other fragile items
  • Knives/scissors
  • Candles and crackers
  • Any other goods prohibited or restricted by the postal authorities or courier services
  • Heavy or large items, or groups of items, the combined weight of which would exceed 2kg

Duties and Taxes

Products delivered to some destinations may be subject to taxes, fees, levies or other charges, which are imposed by local authorities. The recipient of the products is responsible for all customs formalities for their export and import, and will be required to pay any additional charges, including import duty, formal customs entry, taxes, levies and other charges. Depending on the delivery agent, the recipient of the goods may receive a separate request for payment of these charges.  We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, so we’re unable to offer any assistance on these processes. We would advise that you check the import charges applicable in any country before ordering products to be delivered there. 

Prices

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling and include VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the Website. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery, the appropriate rates being set out in our pricing structure above. Promotional offers and prices are as stated, with no further discounts available. 

Currencies Accepted

We accept payment in Pounds Sterling only. 

Value Added Tax (VAT)

Where you've requested delivery to a UK address, the price paid for the product and the delivery service will usually include UK VAT, which will be shown on your VAT receipts issued to you by www.cecipaolo.com 

Where you've ordered products for delivery to a non-UK address, both the products and the delivery service will be zero-rated, with no UK VAT chargeable on either. When you are making a purchase online, the price paid by you for the product(s) at the point of payment will be less than the product price(s) shown on the website as the system will have removed the VAT (currently 20%). The VAT amount removed is clearly shown at the checkout.

RETURNS

Contract cancellation

Please note that you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish provided that you exercise your right and notify us in writing no longer than 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive the goods.

If you wish to exercise your right to cancel this contract after your order has already been despatched, we will refund the original purchase price and delivery charge, provided that you have notified us in writing no longer than 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive the goods, returned them within 14 calendar days of notifying us and that you have taken reasonable care of the goods and not used them. Please note that from 1 June 2019 this policy does not necessarily relate to Sale Items for which we may, at our discretion, only issue a Credit to your account to the value of the sale price and delivery charge. This Credit can be redeemed against future purchases online or instore.

Returns Policy

We hope you will be delighted with your goods. Please check them immediately upon receiving them. If they are not what you wanted or do not arrive in a satisfactory condition, please notify us in writing no longer than 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive the goods (starting from the first working day after you receive the goods), and return them within 14 calendar days of notifying us. We will give you a full refund (or issue a credit in the case of sale goods) of the cost of the goods (including delivery charge). Goods must be returned in their unused original condition and packaging and with all tags still attached so that they can be returned to stock for resale.

How to Return Goods

You will be responsible for the item(s) until they reach us. For your own protection, we suggest you use a secure delivery method that requires a signature upon delivery. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you unless the item(s) was/were faulty. If items are faulty you are entitled to reasonable costs of return.

Customers from non-UK countries should ensure that they indicate clearly on their return package that this is a RETURN with £0.00 value, otherwise it may incur import duties and other costs which we may have to deduct from your refund.

The right to return goods to us as referred to above will not apply in the following circumstances:

• the product(s) has been used;

• the product(s) has been damaged, soiled or altered;

• the product(s) are for pierced ears which are excluded in the interest of hygiene and for customer protection;

• the product(s) had been ordered, made or customised specifically for you and would not normally be sold in the store;

• the product(s) had by its nature a limited lifespan (eg fresh food).

The right to a refund or account credit in full will not apply if: the goods are not returned in their original condition and packaging so that they can be returned to stock for resale; and/or they are not returned within the timeframe indicated above. We reserve the right in these circumstances to charge a restocking fee or to return the goods to the customer at our discretion.

Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear will not be considered faulty. We also make every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on our website. However, as computer monitors and printers vary, we cannot guarantee that colours will appear totally accurately to you.

Refunds or credits will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the day the returned goods are received by us.  Please note that it may take up to 14 days for your bank to credit your account. We are not liable, and cannot take responsibility, for any bank charges or exchange rate losses that you may incur during the refund process.

These provisions do not affect your statutory rights.
