Whole green honey-sweet figs are picked at the start of their ripeness and are cooked in a fresh lemon syrup. The figs remain puffy and bursting with flavour. Serve as they are for an instant treat or use as a topping for desserts. Keep one handy in the cupboard for a last minute dessert.
