My personal love affair with shibori was greatly reinforced after visiting a shibori workshop in Kyoto. I was in awe of the old artisan patiently sitting crosslegged making hundreds of small knots in silk and methodically tying each one. I even tried my hand at it - with a certain amount of help! Eskandar shares my passion and works closely with Japanese shibori artisans designing fabric and choosing styles that work specifically with the patterns of those fabrics. Expect more styles to be added to his unique artisan shibori collection.
