Background

As well as being used as a seasoning or dressing, vinegar is also enjoyed in Japan as a refreshing beverage or mixer. It is believed that vinegar has properties that make it excellent for overall health, particularly with regard to weight and blood sugar maintenance. 

How To Use

• To make senmaiduke (pickled, sliced radishes), use 3 tablespoons vinegar for 75g ingredients.
• To make sunomono (vinegared dishes), use 2 tablespoons vinegar for 100g ingredients.
• To make sushi rice, use 3 tablespoons vinegar for approx. 180ml rice.
• To make pickles, use 1/2 cup (100ml) vinegar for 150g ingredients.
• To make marinade, use 3 tablespoons vinegar for 75g ingredients.
