Yellow bean paste is a commonly used Chinese pantry essential, bringing a savoury, rich condiment with a contrasting sweet and salty flavour to your dishes. It is a versatile ingredient that adds depth and complexity. Add early in the cooking process, allowing its flavour to bloom in hot oil.  

Use in stir-fries, stir into braised dishes, blend into marinades, and sauces. Think of it as a flavour booster, enhancing the overall taste profile of your dishes with its unique fermented soybean notes.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place. Refrigerate after opening and consume within 6 weeks.
