Le Dolcezze’s classic biscuits are handmade in their factory in Buonconvento, just south of Siena, and little has changed in the methods that they use since the company was started in 1959 by Giovannino Marini, who became a master pastry chef after a childhood of baking with his grandmother. He and his wife Floriana were later joined by their two sons, Luca and Marco, who took over the running of the business after their father died.

Crisp and light with a delicate taste, these cantucci are perfect for finishing the meal with sweetness. Delicious with tea, milk, cappuccino or coffee.  Here the classic almond version has been replaced by hazelnuts and cocoa.

INGREDIENTS

Wheat flour, sugar, whole roasted hazelnuts 11%, fresh eggs, chopped roasted hazelnut 8%, hazelnut paste 3%, glucose-fructose syrup 2%, butter (milk), raising agent (E450i, E500ii, corn statch), cocoa powder 1%,  raising agent E503, salt, natural cocoa flavouring, natural vanilla flavouring.
