Cantucci Almonds & Pistachio, Dolcezze di Nanni

Le Dolcezze’s classic biscuits are handmade in their factory in Buonconvento, just south of Siena, and little has changed in the methods that they use since the company was started in 1959 by Giovannino Marini, who became a master pastry chef after a childhood of baking with his grandmother. He and his wife Floriana were later joined by their two sons, Luca and Marco, who took over the running of the business after their father died.

Crisp and light with a delicate taste, these cantucci are perfect for finishing the meal with sweetness. Delicious with tea, milk, cappuccino or coffee, as well as a classic vin santo or other sweet wine. Here the classic almond version has been combined with pistachio. 

INGREDIENTS
Wheat flour, sugar, almonds 14%, fresh eggs, roasted pistachios 4%, butter (milk) 2%, glucose-fructose syrup, raising agent: (E450i, E500ii, corn starch), raising agent: E503, sea salt, natural vanilla flavouring.  Produced in a plant which also processes: soya, nuts, (almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts and walnuts).
