Vigneti Lugarara Gavi di Gavi, La Giustiniana

Add To Comparison

This estate covers 110 hectares in the heart of the commune of Rovereto in Gavi.  Originally this land was part of a Benedictine convent which was bought by the Giustiniani, a military family from the Republic of Genoa, in 1625. The Benedictine monks had cultivated the first vines planted here. Today the wine production is focussed on showing the potential of Gavi di Gavi from the two single vineyards of the estate, of which we stock just the ‘Vigneti Lugarara’. The 'Lugarara' is at 300 metres above sea level and has marl soils with sandy layers, giving it an open style.

Straw yellow in colour with greenish highlights. The wine has beguiling aromas of peach, nectarine, green apple and lime zest with hints of almond. A refreshing acidity on the palate carries the well-defined flavours onto the fresh finish.
