DESCRIPTION

The Tokyo Blue collection consists of several beautiful design groups in blue and white. All are designed to mix and match in the Japanese way. The collection is created using a technique called "sometsuke". This involves painting cobalt blue pigment onto the white porcelain surface before glazing and firing it. The combination of blue and white is highly prized in Japanese culture and is often associated with elegance, simplicity and a sense of tranquillity.

The KARAKUSA pattern depicts vines intertwining and twisting endlessly in every direction, symbolizing longevity as well as resilience.
