DESCRIPTION

A pair of open toe slippers made of sasawashi in Osaka Prefecture.  Made unbelievably from absorbent washi paper threads infused with antibacterial kumazasa plant fibres, this innovative fabric offers natural deodorising properties that prevent mildew growth and fibre deterioration. The firm, hard feel created by making a pile of SASAWASHI provided comfortable stimulation of the sole and refreshes your feet. The inside is also made of SASAWASHI, which absorbs moisture and keeps your feet clean. The soles are tightly packed, but light and comfortable.

Feet sweat and get hot. The soles of our feet have as many as 300 sweat glands per square centimeter, and at times, both feet produce 200 ml of sweat per day. Bacteria on the surface of the skin becomes active due to the moisture in the sweat, and feed on the wax and grease of the skin, increasing rapidly and producing an odor. This is where SASAWASHI slippers come into play. SASAWASHI, with its excellent sweat and moisture absorption properties, quickly removes dampness and has an antibacterial and deodorising effect.
