Parmesan shouldn't be cut but rather should be 'stabbed' with the point of a specially shaped knife so that the parmesan breaks off into chunks. This attractive parmesan knife has a handle made from olive wood.

Olive wood is hard wearing, but enjoys an occasional oiling and should NEVER be put in a dishwasher or left to soak in water.
