Hester van Eeghen Parcel Handbag Brique/Black/Cream
A bag in the shape of a gift. Like you would close your gift wrapping in 4 points, the sides of this bag reflect that same folding pattern. No tape, but hidden magnets keep the sides of the bag closed. It is a semi-soft leather bag that opens with a zipper and is lined with soft pig leather. Two elegant handles keep the package together, but the bag can also be attached to a separate shoulder strap. It has a large compartment, a smaller zippered compartment and a small open compartment.

Hester was an inquisitive soul, finding inspiration all around her. A subtle playfulness, keen artistic eye, and an historical perspective remain her design trademarks. She particularly delighted in finding analogies with distinctive objects, understanding intricately engineered systems, the scale and form of architecture, the beauty of nature, and observing human behaviour. All this informed her fabulous leather designs and amazing use of colour. Hester's life was cut short on 8 April 2021, shortly after being diagnosed with a rare disease. Her designs will live on.
