This Panettone Filippi meets another classic Christmas favourite - Almond Nougat (Mandorlato) of Cologna Veneta. No raisins or candied peels are used in this Special Panettone Filippi, instead many pieces of almond that melt while cooking have been added, leaving fragrant traces of nougat throughout the cake.

The Mandorlato delicacy is made of honey, egg white and almonds and is a typical dessert in the Cologna Veneta area, for centuries known as the Christmas Holidays Dessert. This is a vey special Panettone not only for its delicious composition but also because it represents a tribute to the confectionery culture of the Veneto region.
