These charming ceramic bottles are made of white glazed, terracotta and have the traditional 'Smammorizzato' or 'schizzato' splatter pattern on them. Now considered a part of Puglian cultural heritage, this 'splatter' pattern was originally used as an economical way to dress up everyday objects and make them more appealing. These bottles continue to be handmade by artisans in Puglia.
